Kettelle Building Movers began in 1964 when Grant "Pike" Kettelle expanded his business. For many years, he had been buying properties in the Big River Reservoir project and hiring companies to move the buildings to new sites. In 1964, Grant bought the equipment of a building mover going out of business and started Kettelle Building Movers.

Over the years he heard one frequent question: how much to move my house (shed, store, business)? Unfortunately, he had no ready answer, and like all building movers, spent much of his time educating his customers on what he had learned. There can be no set price for moving a building, as each site, landscaping, and structure is different. Nor is it possible to say how fast the job can be done. Again, it depends on size, how far it must be moved, obstacles in the path and other factors.

Often, customers just want to reposition their home in a different direction to get the morning sun, or to face a spectacular view. Maybe they just need a new foundation, or want to add a story below the main level of the building.

Grant, and his son Scott, work with their customers to determine what actions are needed to get the desired result.

They also buy and sell buildings, install support beams to level an older home, fix sagging floors, do excavations for new foundations and fix other structural issues.
